Congratulations to all our high school award winners! This year, we have granted a total of eight high school seniors monetary awards. The awards and high schools of each student are as follows:

– The Stephen K. Tompsett Award for Excellence in Math, Science or Technology (“Strive to Exceed Expectations”)

Our 2013 Scholarship winner receiving her plaque at Convocation. Congratulations Carol! Have a wonderful experience in Oz!!

Congratulations to Carol MacDonald-Schmidt an Early Childhood/Childhood major from Saranac Lake, NY on being the recipient of the 2013 Stephen K. Tompsett Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is given annually to a SUNY student who has been accepted into the Student Teach in Australia Program. The Scholarship is $1500 and a plaque presented to a student teacher who personifies Steve’s qualities and is committed to perpetuating his legacy of volunteerism and good works for children, education and charitable causes.Because Stephen was Australian by birth and his mother was a teacher, the scholarship has special significance for the Tompsett family who is proud to support a worthy individual pursuing his/her student teaching experience in Stephen’s native country.
